Harm reduction

  • Deliriants are the least recreational and most dangerous class in this app. Effects are usually frightening, and users cannot reliably tell delusion from reality.
  • Anticholinergic overdose - from DPH, dimenhydrinate or datura - causes seizures, dangerous overheating, heart rhythm problems and death. There is no safe ceiling once you are past the therapeutic dose.
  • Datura and scopolamine have killed people at doses nobody could predict. Plant potency varies enormously between leaves and between plants.
  • Never use these alone, and never in a place where you could wander into traffic, water or a height.
  • If someone is confused, hot, dry-skinned and has a racing heart after taking any of these, that is a medical emergency - call for help and say what was taken.

Tolerance, dependence and detection

Tolerancehalf tolerance after 3 - 7 days; back to baseline after 1 - 2 weeks
Addiction potentialmildly addictive with a high potential for adverse side effects such as psychosis
