LSD
Psychedelic · popular
A classical psychedelic active in micrograms. Visual and perceptual distortion, intensely altered thinking, and effects that last most of a day. Dose is not weight-scaled, blotter strength varies, and the same dose can produce euphoria or fear depending on set and setting.

Harm reduction
- Assume blotter is around 100 µg, but treat unknown blotter as stronger rather than weaker, and start with half.
- Test with Ehrlich reagent to confirm an indole; NBOMe compounds sold as LSD feel similar to beginners and are much more dangerous.
- Set and setting, plus a trusted sober-ish person, matter more than the microgram count.
- Effects last 8-12 hours. Do not plan anything demanding for the next day.
- Cannabis on the peak is the single most common cause of an otherwise good trip turning difficult.
- Do not mix with lithium - there are documented seizure and psychosis cases.
- Set and setting shape a psychedelic experience more than the dose does. Plan the room, the music, the company and the exit before you take anything.
- Have a sober person present, or at minimum someone who knows what you have taken and can be called.
- Do not redose to 'make it stronger'. Tolerance to psychedelics develops within an hour, so a redose mostly extends the experience and increases the risk of a difficult one.
- Avoid combinations with lithium (seizure risk) and tramadol, and be extremely careful with cannabis, which sharply intensifies the experience.
Identify what you have
Reagent tests show what a substance probably is, not how pure it is or what else is in the mix. Fentanyl and nitazene test strips are the only reliable check for those, and quantitative lab testing is better than both.
Mixing
There is a large number of reports indicating a high seizure and psychosis risk from this combination.
Tramadol is well known to lower seizure threshold and psychedelics also cause occasional seizures.

Cannabis has an unexpectedly strong and somewhat unpredictable synergy with psychedelics.
