Timeline (insufflated)
Bars show relative time in each phase, scaled to the total duration. Each phase keeps its colour in the list above.
Expected effects
- Alertness
- Reduced fatigue
- Improved focus
- Mild mood lift
Possible side effects
- Anxiety and jitteriness
- Insomnia
- Raised heart rate and palpitations
- Stomach upset and reflux
- Headache during withdrawal
- Dependence
- Dangerous arrhythmias with pure caffeine powder
Known toxicity
- The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on individual sensitivity, but is estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass or roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult
Harm reduction
- Test your substance. Cocaine, amphetamine and MDMA powders are routinely cut with fentanyl or nitazenes, and stimulant pills are frequently counterfeits.
- Do not mix stimulants with each other, with alcohol, or with MAOIs, SSRIs or tramadol - the cardiovascular and serotonin risks compound.
- Watch body temperature. Overheating and dehydration cause more stimulant emergencies than heart attacks do. Take breaks, cool down with water and air, and sip (do not gulp) fluids.
- Eat and sleep. Sleep deprivation plus stimulants is the standard route into stimulant psychosis.
- Do not re-dose compulsively. Set a maximum before you start, and give it to someone else to hold you to.
- Chest pain, severe headache, one-sided weakness, slurred speech or fainting are medical emergencies. Call for help immediately.
- Nasal use damages the septum and sinuses; chronic use causes permanent damage that does not heal.
Identify what you have
Reagent tests show what a substance probably is, not how pure it is or what else is in the mix. Fentanyl and nitazene test strips are the only reliable check for those, and quantitative lab testing is better than both.
Mixing
High doses of caffeine may cause anxiety which is less manageable when tripping, and since both are stimulating it may cause some physical discomfort.
See interaction notes for details.

Details of this combination are not well understood but PCP generally interacts in an unpredictable manner.
This combination of stimulants is not generally necessary and may increase strain on the heart, as well as potentially causing anxiety and greater physical discomfort.
Caffiene is not really necessary with MDMA and increases any neurotoxic effects from MDMA
Both stimulants, risk of tachycardia, hypertension, and in extreme cases heart failure.
See interaction notes for details.

High doses of caffeine can potentially exacerbate anxiety, especially during a dissociative experience, due to its stimulating effects. This combination might also lead to physical discomfort. However, individual responses to caffeine can vary significantly, often influenced by factors like habitual versus occasional usage.
